From approximately 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2008, the following streets will be closed to accommodate the Year of the Rat Chinese New Year Parade and celebration:
 
• I Street, NW, between 5th and 7th Street, NW
• 7th Street, NW, between I and G Street, NW
• G Street, NW, between 7th and 8th Street, NW
• 8th Street, NW, between G and H Street, NW
• H Street, NW, between 9th and 6th Street, NW
• 6th Street, N.W., between Massachusetts Ave., and G Street, NW

STREETS TO BE CLOSED FOR PARADE ASSEMBLING (9 AM UNTIL 3:30 PM)
• I Street, NW, between 5th and 6th Streets, NW

STREETS TO BE CLOSED FOR FESTIVAL (9 AM UNTIL 5 PM)
• H Street, NW, between 6th and 7th Street, NW

The parade will begin at approximately at 2 pm. At that time, the parade route will be closed to vehicular traffic. Traffic on streets that intersect with the parade route will be halted or diverted until the parade passes. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK ON THE PARADE ROUTE BETWEEN 6 AM UNTIL 5:30 PM BEGINNING ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2008.The parade route is as follows:

The parade will form in the 500 block of I Street, NW, then proceed westbound on I Street to 7th Street, southbound on 7th Street to H Street, westbound on H Street to 8th Street, southbound on 8th Street to G Street, eastbound on G Street to 7th northbound on 7th Street to H Street and then eastbound on H Street. The parade will disband in the 600 block of H Street, NW.
