MPD and DPR Kick Off Summer with Exciting Dual Press Event

On Saturday morning, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will join Pulte Homes, District leaders and the Ward 5 Community for the New York Avenue Basketball Court Ribbon Cutting ceremony, the Metro Basketball League’s season opener, and the MPD 2008 “Summer of Safety” Parent Information Fair.

Note: The ribbon-cutting program will last approximately 21-23 minutes, but will be immediately followed by visual and media opportunities for speakers and an exciting day of basketball competition. Everyone has been asked to speak for 2-3 minutes.
