INAUGURAL NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL 5K

400 block of E Street, NW
ROUTE: This race will begin in the 400 block of F Street, NW, proceed southbound on
3rd Street, NW, westbound on Independence Avenue, SW, northbound on 2nd
Street, NE, westbound on East Capitol Street, NE, southbound on 1st Street, NE,
westbound on Independence Avenue, SW. northbound on 1st Street, NW, proceeding
westbound back to 3rd Street, NW, northbound on 3rd Street, NW, and ending in the 400 block
of E Street, NW.
OYSTER ADAMS 5K RACE
DATE: Sunday, October 19, 2008
TIME: 7:00 am until 11:00 am
LOCATION: Beginning on 29th Street, NW, between Garfield and Calvert Streets, NW
ROUTE: The race will proceed from the above location southbound on 29th Street, NW, to Calvert Street, NW, eastbound on Calvert Street to 28th Street, NW, southeast on 28th Street to Rock Creek Drive, NW, southwest on Rock Creek Drive to Normanstone Drive, NW, northwest on Normanstone Drive to 32nd Street, NW, north on 32nd Street, NW, to Woodland Drive, NW, northwest on Woodland Drive to Garfield Street, NW, westbound on Garfield Street to 33rd Place, NW, north on 33rd Place to Cathedral Avenue, NW, east on Cathedral Avenue to 32nd Street, NW, east on Klingle Road crossing Woodley Road to Cortland Place, NW, southwest on Cortland Place to 28th Street, NW, south on 32nd Street to Garfield Street, NW, eastbound on Garfield Street to 29th Street, NW, south on 29th Street to the finish line.
There will be rolling road closures during both of these events. Motorists traveling in the area of
these events may experience delays. The Metropolitan Police Department and the DC Department of Transportation reminds motorists to use caution when operating in the area of special events such as these where increased pedestrian traffic may be anticipated.
