The Metropolitan Police Department wishes to advise the public and members of the media of the street closings in conjunction with the Lawyers Have a Heart Race, Capital Pride Parade and the Capital Pride Festival.

LAWYERS HAVE A HEART RACE:

This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2009.

• Starting at 6:00 am and ending at 12 noon, the road closures are as follows: Canal Road from Reservoir Road, NW to M Street, NW, Whitehurst Freeway and K Street, NW under the freeway.

CAPITAL PRIDE PARADE:

This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2009.

• Starting at 4:00 pm and at ending 9:00 pm, the street closures are as follows: 23^rd through 25^th Streets, NW from M to O Streets, NW.

• The parade is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm at 23^rd and P Streets, NW.  The parade will proceed through DuPont Circle, NW, north on New Hampshire Avenue, NW, east on R Street, NW, south on 17^th Street, NW, east on P Street, NW, south 14^th Street, NW and ends at N Street, NW.

CAPITAL PRIDE FESTIVAL:

This event is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2009.

Starting at 9:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2009 and continuing through 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2009, the street closures are as follows: Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 3^rd and 7^th Streets, NW and Constitution Avenue, NW between 3^rd and 7^th Streets, NW.
