In its continuing efforts to build positive relationships with the community, the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District is holding a Hawaiian-themed Open House at the district station in Northwest on Saturday, July 23, 2005.  So bring your grass skirts, leis and cameras, and spend the day getting to know your local police and neighbors.

The Open House will include food, games, a moon bounce and "dunk tank," DJs, live music, as well as information, displays and demonstrations from the Special Operations Division and district personnel.

The news media is encouraged to publicize and attend this community policing event.
