COPS Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 7

The DC Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in front of the Henry J. Daly Municipal Center (300 Indiana Avenue, NW), at 6:30 pm, on Wednesday, December 7, 2005.  Executive Assistant Chief of Police Michael Fitzgerald and other police officials will join members of COPS and other supporters of officers killed in the line of duty to light a memorial tree that is planted outside Police Headquarters.

Members of the news media are invited to attend.

Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) provides resources to assist in rebuilding the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. COPS also provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
