This is the second class to graduate from the Senior Citizens Police Academy, with 14 members graduating. The inaugural class of 2005 had 35 graduates.
Participants in the Senior Citizens Police Academy must be age 50 or older, a District of Columbia resident, willing to complete the entire program and consent to a background check. There is no cost to participate in the program. The next class begins in March 2007. Information and applications are available on the Police Department website.
