At approximately 8:53 pm, on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, police were called to the rear of the 2000 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police located 19-year-old Bobby Johnson, of the 3800 block of 9th Street, SE, suffering from a gunshot wound to the body. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center here he was admitted in critical condition.

At approximately 4:45 pm, on Sunday, October 8, 2006, Mr. Johnson died as a result of his injury.  

The above case was closed on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, with the arrest of 25-year-old Andrew Wallace-Mayo, of the 3400 block of 24th Street, SE. He was charged with Murder One While Armed.
