Arrest Made in 1996 Homicide on Pomeroy Road, SE

At approximately 8 am, on Thursday, January 25, 1996, Metropolitan Police were called to the 2600 block of Pomeroy Road, SE, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers located 20-year-old Edward Bernard Small, of the 4700 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.  Members of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia responded to the scene and pronounced him dead.

The above case was closed on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, with the arrest of 44-year-old Carl Meade, of the 2900 block of Pomeroy Road, SE. He was charged with Murder One While Armed.
