At approximately 8:30 pm on Friday, November 3, 2006, a 1992 Cadillac was reportedly traveling eastbound in the 1400 block of Decatur Street, NW, at a high rate of speed. At that time, the vehicle reportedly entered the Metro Bus parking garage at that location and subsequently struck the rear of a bus.

The operator, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, has been identified as 25-year-old Dion Jerome Johnson, of the 11000 block of Crimson Lane in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit where he was pronounced dead at 9:15 pm.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit.
