At approximately 9:30 am, on Friday, January 31, 2003, Metropolitan Police were called to the Hess Gas Station, located in the 500 block of Florida Avenue, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located 43-year-old Allen Price, of the 2100 block of 4th Street, NW, on the station lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
A surveillance tape from the gas station showing people walking around Mr. Price as he lay on the ground was distributed to the news media. As a result of various calls and a subsequent investigation by members of the MPDC's Violent Crimes Branch, police have arrested 40-year-old Marc Fowler, of the 1600 block of Tulip Avenue in Forestville, Maryland. He was apprehended at 8:30 am, on Monday, November 20, 2006, in the 600 block of Indiana Avenue, NW, by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (United States Marshal’s Service and Metropolitan Police Department).
He was charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.
