Shortly after 12:01 am, on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, a woman was abducted at gunpoint while in the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace, SE. The gunman forced the victim into her own motor vehicle and then drove her to several locations in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where he sexually assaulted her. Afterward, the suspect drove the victim back to the District, where he left her with her vehicle somewhere on Alabama Avenue, SE.
At about 3:45 pm on November 22, officers assigned to the Seventh District arrested an individual in the 1900 block of Savannah Street, SE, and charged him with Possession With the Intent to Distribute–Cocaine. That suspect, identified as 36-year-old Paul David Jackson, of the 1900 block of Savannah Street, SE, was transported to the Sex Assault Unit at Metropolitan Police Department headquarters for questioning. Subsequently, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, he also was charged with Carjacking While Armed in connection with the November 22, 2006, abduction of the woman from Savannah Terrace, SE. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in DC Superior Court.
