Fatal Shooting on Montello Avenue, NE

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2000, DCFD medics and Fifth District police responded to the rear alley located at Montello Avenue and Penn Street NE for the report of a man down. Upon arrival, units located 19-year-old Quinton Hearold Ferebee Jr., of the 1300 block of Early Oak Lane, Capitol Heights, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.

The victim was transported to D.C. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:19 p.m.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Fifth District . Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call detectives at 202-727-4504 or the D.C. Crime Solvers Unit at 1-800-673-2777 .

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
