Fatal Shooting in Front of 1801 28th Place, SE

At approximately 8:15 p.m., Saturday, October 28th, 2000, officers from the Sixth District were called for the report of a shooting in front of 1801 28th Place, SE. On arrival they found an unconscious male suffering from multiple gunshots wounds. The emergency medical personnel responding to the scene were unable to find any signs of life.

The victim identified as 20-year-old Kahlil Paul from the 2800 block of Texas Avenue, SE. He was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office and pronounced dead at 11:20 p.m.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives of the Sixth District.

All calls to the Crime Solvers Unit are confidential and a caller need not give his/her name. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a TEN THOUSAND-DOLLAR REWARD to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
