The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects who robbed at gunpoint Charles Schwartz & Son Jewelry store, located at 1400 F Street, NW, just after 5 pm on Friday, February 16, 2007. No one was physically injured as the result of this armed robbery.
Suspect #1 is described as a dark complexioned black male, 20 – 30 years old, 6’1” tall with a slim build, wearing black gloves, a tan colored ¾ length coat, a blue and tan scarf, and a blue baseball cap. He was armed with a silver colored handgun.
Suspect #2 is described as a dark complexioned black male, 20 – 30 years old, wearing black gloves, a black fur hooded Parker, sunglasses, and a black scarf.
They fled the scene on foot northbound on 14th Street, NW, and then westbound on G Street, NW.
This case is under investigation by members of the Robbery Task Force. Anyone who has information about this robbery or who may know the identities or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
NOTE: If it is of good quality, a videotape of the robbery obtained from a store surveillance camera will be made available to local TV stations at a later date.
