At approximately 9:45 pm, on Monday, February 26, 2007, police were called to the front of 1710 A Street, SE, for the report of an assault at that location. Upon arrival officers located 51-year-old James Young, of the 1700 block of A Street, SE, suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds to the body. The victim was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
