Suspect Sought in Robbery in Northwest DC

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the robbery of a business establishment.

At approximately 3:27 am on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, a lone black male entered a 7-11 convenience store located in the unit block of Peabody Street, NW. Once inside the suspect robbed the premises of cash and made good his escape.

The suspect in this case is described as a black male, medium complexion, 20-30 years old, and approximately 6’ tall. He was last observed wearing sunglasses, a blue baseball cap, blue jeans and a red jacket with the word “Redskins” written on it.

This case is under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Robbery Task Force. Anyone who has information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
