On Monday, March 12, 2007, at approximately 3:30 pm, police and DC Fire Department emergency medical technicians responded to the 1400 block of Olive Street, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency medical personnel could find no life signs.
The body of the victim, who has not yet been positively identified, was later transported by morgue wagon to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to call (202) 727-9099.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
