This is to advise the news media that Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier and others will attend the funeral of Officer Wayne C. Pitt.  Officer Pitt was injured in an accident on April 6, 2007, and passed away on April 11, 2007.

The funeral procession will leave the church and drive past the Third District Substation, located at 750 Park Road, NW, for a final salute before being taken to the Fort Lincoln Cemetery for internment.
