Police Seek to Identify Homicide Victim Discovered in the 4400 Block of Texas Avenue, SE

 Composite - Front
 Composite - Profile
At approximately 6:44 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2006, police were called to the rear of the 4400 block of Texas Avenue, SE for found skeletal remains. The cause and manner of death is still pending a ruling by the Office of the DC Medical Examiner.

A computer-generated composite was created based on the skeletal remains.  The decedent is described as an Asian or Asian-Hispanic male with possible, but slight Caucasian admixture. He is estimated to be in his mid- to late-30s, possibly, but unlikely very early 40s, at the time of death. It is estimated that he was approximately 5’8" - 5’10" in height. The condition of the remains indicate the body had been exposed for approximately a year-and-a-half to three years.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch’s Special Victims Unit.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
