Today, Saturday, June 9, 2007, Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier announced that she has increased the amount of the reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of 13-year-old Terry Cutchin. The reward has now been increased to up to $50,000.
At approximately 10:22 on the night of Saturday, June 2, 2007, 13-year-old Terry Cutchin, of the 1300 block of Columbia Road, NW, was shot in the body, during an apparent drive-by shooting, while in front of 1439 Girard Street, NW. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead. A 23-year-old male was also shot, in the right arm, during this incident. He was driven to an area hospital, by a private vehicle, where he was treated and released. His name is being withheld because he is considered a witness in this case.
Again, the reward has now been increased to up to $50,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this homicide. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
