Baby Death in the 3500 Block of Brothers Place, SE, Ruled a Homicide

At approximately 12:30 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2007, 2-year-old Zion Tolbert, of the 3500 block of Brothers Place, SE, was taken from her residence to the Greater Southeast Community Hospital when her mother found she was having trouble breathing.  She was pronounced dead at 1:05 pm.

 

The Office of the DC Medical Examiner has ruled the cause of death due to blunt force trauma and the manner a homicide.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
