On
Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at approximately 2:54 p.m., Fourth District
officers responded to 8th and Jefferson Streets, NW to investigate the
report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, they located a male suffering
from multiple stab wounds lying on the sidewalk.
The victim, who has been identified as 19-year-old Cedric C. Fulmore,
of the 500 block of Longfellow Street, NW, was transported by DCFD
ambulance to the Washington
Hospital Center's MedSTAR Unit where he was pronounced dead at 3:53
p.m.
The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the
Metropolitan Police Department's Fourth
