Suspect Sought in January Homicide in the 5300 Block of C Street, SE

Samuel Sullivan Jr.At approximately 3:22 pm, Monday, January 1, 2007, police were called to the 5300 block of C Street, SE, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival they located 33-year-old Boyd L. Woolen, of the 300 block of 16th Street, NE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.  DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel were called to the scene but found no signs consistent with life.  He was taken to the Office of the DC Medical Examiner and pronounced dead.

 

On  July 5, 2007, police announced they are seeking the public’s assistance to help locate 32-year-old Samuel Sullivan, Jr. (pictured right), with a last known address of the 200 block of Warren Street, NE.  He is wanted on an arrest warrant charging Murder Two While Armed in the above case. He is described as a black male, medium complexion, 6’3” tall and 160 pounds.  He should be considered armed and dangerous, so anyone who sees him should take no direct action but call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
