At approximately 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2004, police were called to the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located 46-year-old Paris Leland Goode, of the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the head. He was taken to the Prince Georges County Medical Center and pronounced dead at 8 pm.

The case was closed with the arrest of 31-year-old Tyrone Reed, of the 3700 block of Donnell Drive in Forestville, Maryland. He was charged with Murder One While Armed.
