Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier announced today the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) will deploy mobile radar units in the 4400 and 4500 blocks of River Road, NW, beginning Wednesday, August 1, 2007. 
 
Mobile Radar units are deployed throughout the city as a force multiplier to allow MPD to monitor and enforce traffic safety compliance.
