At approximately 3:00 on the morning of Saturday, August 18, 2007, 26-year-old Aaron Paul Tinsley, of the 4200 block of Quinn Street in Capitol Heights, Maryland, struck his head on the sidewalk after being hit during an altercation at 18th and California Streets, NW.  Mr. Tinsley returned to a friend’s home in Temple Hills, Maryland, but was later taken to the Prince George’s Community Hospital after suffering seizures.  On Saturday, August 25, 2007, he was pronounced dead.

On Thursday, August 23, 2007, 25-year-old Aaron Cordell Spears, of the 2900 block of St. Claire Drive in Temple Hills, Maryland, was originally charged with Aggravated Assault in connection with this case.  Additional charge(s) are pending as a result of Mr. Tinsley’s death.
