On Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at approximately 10:43 am, police were called to the rear of 1201 Eaton Road, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police located 18-year-old Jamil Jackson, of the 2800 block of Wood Hollow Place in Fort Washington, Maryland, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.
The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
