At approximately 11:42 last night, Wednesday, August 29, 2007, a 2000 Honda CR-V was traveling southbound on 16th Street, NW.  While in the 3100 block of 16th Street, NW, the Honda struck an unidentified adult Hispanic female who was not crossing in the crosswalk.  The unidentified female was taken to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

No charges have been placed against the driver of the Honda and the case remains under investigation by members of the department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
