Homicide in Front of 331 Kentucky Avenue, SE

At approximately 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2007, police were called to the front of 331 Kentucky Avenue, SE, for the report of a man down.  Upon arrival they located 33-year-old Rahim Winston, of the 2500 block of Southern Avenue in Capital Heights, Maryland, suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds to the body.  He was taken to the Howard University Hospital and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
