Fatal Shooting on Eads Street, NE

On Saturday, March 27, 1999, at approximately 8:15 am, officers from the Sixth District were called to the 4500 block of Eads Street, NE to investigate the report of an unconscious person inside of an automobile. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male subject seated in the driver's seat of an automobile suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was subsequently transported to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office where he was officially pronounced dead at 10:25 am.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Carl Michael Rogers, Jr., of the 300 block of 47th Street, NE.

This case remains under active investigation by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Homicide Division at 202-727-4347 or the department's Crime Solvers Unit at 1-800-673-2777.
