Death Investigation in the 1000 Block of 17th Street, NE

At approximately 1:55 this morning, Monday, October 29, 2007, Metropolitan Police were called to the 1000 block of 17th Street, NE, for the report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers found 50-year-old Randall Keith Brown, of the 800 block of 21st Street, NE, unconscious and unresponsive. DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel also responded to the scene. Brown was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch.

The department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
