Homicide in the 1700 Block of Minnesota Avenue SE

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened in the 1700 block of Minnesota Avenue, SE. At approximately 1:55 a.m., on Sunday, November 4, 2007, police responded to the report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19-year-old Leonard Wilson, of the 2300 block of Irving Street, S.E., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head. D.C. Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but could find no signs consistent with life. He was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and pronounced dead.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
