On Monday, November 5, 2007, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch arrested 23-year-old Joseph Thomas, of the 1800 block of Central Place, N.E. Thomas has been charged with Second Degree Murder while armed in connection with the fatal shooting of Andrew Brown.
On Friday, June 15, 2007, at approximately 11:50 pm, police were called to the 200 block of 37th Place, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police found 39-year-old Andrew Brown, of the 3300 block of Dubois Street, SE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to the Prince George’s County Medical Center and pronounced dead.
