A $2,500 private reward has been offered by Hawk One Security involving the theft of four .38-caliber handguns that were taken from a vehicle.
On Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at approximately 2:45 PM, a 1998 Jeep Cherokee being utilized by Hawk One Security was reported stolen from the 5500 of block Eads Street, NE. That vehicle was later recovered unoccupied in the 1000 block of 49th Street, NE; however, the aforementioned weapons were not recovered.
The circumstances surrounding this case remain under investigation by detectives from the department’s Sixth District and officials from Hawk One Security.
Hawk One Security has established a private reward of $2,500 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the theft of these weapons. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
