Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch announced today that an arrest has been made in connection with the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Nigel Keitt.  On Friday, December 7, 2007, 24-year-old Timothy Flack of the 7100 block of Old Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, Maryland, was charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed in the death of Mr. Keitt.  

At approximately 9:53 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007, police were called for the report of a shooting alongside 3023 Naylor Road, SE. Upon arrival officers located 17-year-old Nigel Kitt of the 3100 block of Channing Street, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. He was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia and pronounced dead.
