On Monday, December 10, 2007, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch arrested 21-year-old Michael William Hall, of the 700 block of 24th Street, NE.  Hall has been charged with Second Degree Murder while armed in connection with the fatal shooting of Vincent White.

At approximately 3:00 AM on  Monday, April 2, 2007, police were called to the 2600 block of Birney Place, SE, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found two adult male shooting victims in front of 2645 Birney Place, SE.  One of the victims, identified as 41-year-old Vincent White, of the 5400 block of Winston Street, in Temple Hills, Maryland, was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to George Washington University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:47 AM. 

The second victim, a 27-year-old District male, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body, was taken to an area hospital and admitted in fair condition.  The identity of that victim is being withheld because he is considered a witness in this case.
