Arrest Made in the Case of an MPD Officer Struck by a Stolen Vehicle

Officer Brian BobickOn Friday, December 14, 2007, members of the Sixth District’s Narcotics and Special Investigation Division arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male in connection with the striking of an MPD Mountain Bike officer in the 4300 block of Ord Street, NE, with a stolen vehicle. The officer has been identified as 30-year-old Brian Bobick (pictured right) of the Sixth District.  Officer Bobick is a six year veteran in the Metropolitan Police Department. 

On Thursday, December 13, 2007 at approximately 4:20 pm, Officer Bobick was struck by a motor vehicle while in the 4300 block of Ord Street, NE. He was taken by Medi-Vac to Washington Hospital Center’s MedSTAR Unit and admitted in serious condition.

The charges in this case are currently pending upon review by the DC Office of the Attorney General.
