Victim in Chester Street, SE Homicide Identified

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch have identified the victim from the Friday, December 14, 2007, homicide on Chester Street, SE.   The decedent in that case has been identified as 25-year-old Jason Dantley of the 6500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Forestville, Maryland.

 

On Friday, December 14, 2007, at approximately 3:30 PM, D.C. Fire Department emergency medical technicians responded to a parking lot in the rear of 2320 Chester Street, SE, to investigate the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, they found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head lying on the ground. Emergency medical personnel could find no life signs. 

 

The case remains under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
