Arrests Made at Alleged House of Prostitution

On Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 4 PM, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Prostitution Enforcement Unit arrested three women alleged to be involved in a prostitution operation at Venus Spa, located at 2352 Wisconsin Avenue, NW.  Representatives from the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs were also on the premises at the time of the arrests.

The suspects have been identified as 59-year-old Sun Pyong of New Jersey, who is charged with Operating a House of Prostitution, 35-year-old Lian Shu Cui of Virginia, who is charged with Solicitation for Lewd and Immoral Purposes, and 45-year-old Son Bongsok of Virginia, who is charged with Giving a Massage without a License.  They are scheduled to be arraigned today in DC Superior Court.

The arrests came as the result of an undercover operation launched to investigate complaints from citizens regarding the Venus Spa.

The investigation is ongoing.
