Shortly after 4 am on Sunday, December 30, 2007, police and DC Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to an apartment building located at 3500 14th Street, NW to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in the vestibule. Emergency medical personnel could find no life signs.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Anthony A. Washington, of the 1300 block of W Street, NE, was transported by morgue wagon to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia where he was officially pronounced dead.
The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to call 202-727-9099.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
