Victim Identified in the Fatal Shooting on Blaine Street, NE

 

On Friday, January 18, 2008, at approximately 5:40 pm, police and D.C. Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to the 4200 block of Blaine Street, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male, identified as 25-year-old Taon Williams, of the 200 block 50th Street, NE, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head lying in front of 4233 Blaine Street.

The victim was transported to Prince George’s Hospital Center where he was pronounced dead.

The case is currently under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call at (202) 727-9099.

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia
