Homicide in the 400 Block of 37th Street, SE

On Sunday, January 27, 2008, at approximately 2:35 am, police were called to an apartment building in the 400 block of 37th Street, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police located 49-year-old James Randolph, of the unit block of 35th Street, SE suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. He was transported to the D.C. Medical Examiner’s office and pronounced dead.

 

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
