At approximately 11:44 p.m., on Sunday, August 29, units from the Third District responded to 15th and Fuller Streets, NW, for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, units found a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body. Units from the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department were called to render medical assistance.
The victim, who has been identified as 26-year-old Rodrick Herbert Jones of the 600 block of Hamlin Street, NE, was transported to the Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Unit, where he was pronounced dead at 1:12 a.m.
