Queens Chapel Road Homicide Victim Identified

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch have positively identified a victim who was murdered on Queens Chapel Road, NE.  He has been identified as 23-year-old Dusaan H. Scully, of the 100 block of 35th Street in Brooklyn, New York.

 

At approximately 4:18 on the morning of Sunday, February 17, 2008, police were called to the 2100 block of Queens Chapel Road, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located Scully, who was unidentified at the time, inside of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  He was pronounced dead on the scene by members the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.

 

An adult female victim also was located inside of the same vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the neck.  She was taken to an area local hospital and admitted in critical but stable condition.  Her identity is being withheld because she is a potential witness in this case.

 

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

The case is under active investigation by detectives assigned to the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202- 727-9099.
