Armed Robbery Suspects Sought

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in attempting to identify and locate two armed robbery suspects.

 

On Sunday, February 24, 2008, at approximately 5:17 a.m., two male suspects, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered Mac’s Tire Service, located in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, NE.  Once inside they announced a robbery.  They obtained a laptop computer and an undetermined amount of U.S. currency before fleeing the scene on foot. 

  • Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 4’11” tall, wearing a ski mask and a brown or tan   “Army-style” coat.  He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
  • Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, wearing a ski mask and a blue and white jacket.

The suspects in this case should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.  The department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
