Fatal Shooting on Ingraham Street, NW

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred today on Ingraham Street, NW.

Shortly after 5:30 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, police and D.C. Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to the 800 block of Ingraham Street, NW for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying alongside of Truesdale Elementary School. 

The victim, who has been identified as 23-year-old Anthony Gerald Maddox, of the 5300 block of 8th Street, NW, was transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedSTAR Unit where he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
