At approximately 7:30 last night, Metropolitan Police officers arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the October 28, 1999 sexual assault which occurred at about 7:30 pm inside of an apartment building located in the 600 block of 3rd Street, NE. A 29-year-old woman was attacked in a stairwell of her apartment complex.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Antonio Donnell Oesby, of the 600 block of L Street, NE, was arrested inside of Union Station. Oesby has been charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in D.C. Superior Court.
