The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting death which occurred in the 1200 block of Kennedy Street, NW.
Shortly after midnight on Saturday, March 29, 2008, officers from the Fourth District responded to the 1200 block of Kennedy Street, NW, to investigate the sounds of gunshots in that area. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male lying in an alley at that location suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Emergency medical personnel responded, but were unable to find any signs consistent with life. The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia and pronounced dead.
The victim in this case has been identified as 19-year-old Emidore Nkol of the 8300 block of Roanoke Avenue in Takoma Park, Maryland.
This case is under investigation by members of the Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch from the department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
