Homicide in the Rear of the Unit Block of 49th Street, SE

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a homicide which occurred in the rear of the Unit block of 49th Street, S.E.

At approximately 2:30 pm, on Friday, March 28, 2008, officers from the Sixth District responded to the rear of the Unit block of 49th  Street, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located 26-year-old Dolmi Bonilla, of the 4900 block of Howard Avenue, in Beltsville, Maryland, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the Prince George’s Hospital Center in critical condition and subsequently pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
